WEARING CAMEL

Wow! What a party!

We couldn’t have hoped for a better day. There was so much talk of rain and even thunder storms, but not a drop fell on Lambolle Road, and by 4.00pm we were dancing under sunshine and blue skies.

It’s difficult to know exactly how many people came along , but we think that at it’s peak we had around 350 people. Incredible! Thank you so much to everyone who helped make it possible and all that came along and made it one hell of a party. We’d definitely love to do another next year for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, so please give us your thoughts.

We also think that were going to have some money left over once we’ve paid out all our costs, so we’ll want your views on what we do with it: either hand it over to a local charity or put it in the kitty for next year. We’ll come back to you with more details on that.

Lastly, a very big thank you to all our sponsors; you can find their details and website on this website. We hope to have the time to involve more businesses next year, so if you know of any companies that want to get involved, do please let us know.

In the meantime, here are some photos of the day taken by professional photographer Sue Foll, and these by Saul de Groen, Marion Sossen and me.

Hooray for Lambolle Road! What a fantastic community we have!
